TODAY’S DEVOTION. THE BLESSING BRINGS PROSPERITY PART 1.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth forever”(Psalm 112:1, 3)

The Bible clearly states that God’s people are supposed to be rich. You are meant to be rich financially and prosperous in every possible way. Our opening scripture and several other scriptures confirm it “Riches and honour are with [the wisdom of God]; yea, durable riches and righteousness” (Proverbs 8:18).

Some people insist those verses cannot possibly apply to everyone. Some wonder if it is applicable to Christians who live in third world countries. Some ask; “What about those who don’t have the training or opportunities to earn even a minimal income. How are they ever supposed to get rich?”

Look at the first scripture I quoted and you will see the answer to those questions: THE BLESSING of the Lord, it maketh rich. The verse does not say a good job maketh rich, nor does it say a strong economy maketh rich, neither does it say numerous outstanding degrees from exclusive universities and a résumé full of intimidating credentials maketh rich. The Bible says THE BLESSING does it.

You must realize what THE BLESSING of the Lord actually is and the kind of power it contains. We get a glimpse of that power in the first chapter of Genesis. After He created mankind in His image and gave them dominion, God blessed them and said unto them, be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it and have dominion…” (Genesis 1: 28).
When God spoke that BLESSING, He endowed mankind with enough of His own creative glory and power to sustain, uphold and prosper all creations forever.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Thank you Lord for the blessing of prosperity, wealth and riches at work in my life. I decree and declare that the blessing shall be permanent in Jesus Name. Amen
