TODAY’S DEVOTION

POTTERS TOUCH DEVOTIONAL.

THURSDAY, 20TH  SEPTEMBER 2018.

TODAYS DEVOTION. PROSPERITY BY FORGIVENESS PART 2.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE. “At that point Peter got the nerve to ask, “Master, how many times do I forgive a brother or sister who hurts me? Seven?” Jesus replied, “Seven! Hardly. Try seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18:21, 22 MSG)

We established in yesterdays devotion that the first benefit of forgiving others is that it keeps the door firmly closed against the devil. The second benefit of forgiving others is that the power of God in your life continues to flow unhindered for prosperity.
When you do not forgive others, malice can creep in and hinder the power of God in your life. That was what happened to prophet Elisha in the Bible in 2nd Kings Chapter 3. Elisha was very angry and bitter against the King of Israel that he could not hear what the Spirit of God was saying. He had to call for a musician to play so the anointing could come upon him.

Lastly, forgiving others will keep you in prosperity and good health! People who harbour unforgiveness in their hearts are susceptible to poverty and diseases. The bitterness in their hearts affects their finances and physical bodies. The reason some people are sick and miss out on God’s financial blessings is their refusal to forgive.

Ensure that you always forgive those who have wronged you. If you forget how good God has been to you, you may find it difficult to forgive others when they offend you. But when you appreciate the mercy you receive daily from the Lord, you will find it easier to have mercy and forgive others when they have wronged you.

TODAY’S PRAYER.
Father, henceforth I will forgive all those who have wronged me in order for me to prosper in Jesus Name. Amen
